About Me

Since I have downed a couple of mugs of coffee today plus some rootbeer, I am fully awake at 1 in the morning. So I figured, hey, might as well introduce myself, right? So you can get to know me better. Here are a couple of things about me.

This is my real face, or like 3/4 of it, I guess. My name is Jazz and I'm from the Philippines. And yes, I am a girl. I was a full time financial advisor for a bank for nine years and a singer for a Jrock cover band for six, but I ran away from all that and started pursuing my real passion: writing about games (no, not really, but I like writing and I like games so I figured I could combine both).

I'm now a full-time game writer for a small site, working at home six days a week. I rarely go out, so this is a perfect arrangement for me.

I am a complete video game dork. I love the Zelda games, but I'm totally biased towards the 2D ones. I also love Kingdom Hearts, Suikoden 2, Final Fantasy, Persona, Tales of series and a lot of other JRPGs.

I also just recently got into a lot of new franchises like Assassin's Creed, Metal Gear Solid, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Dragon Age, Watch Dogs and Fallout.

I also have a soft spot for Kairosoft games. I can play those all day.

My music influences include a lot of Japanese Rock acts like One Ok Rock, Babymetal, Garnidelia, Ellegarden, Coldrain, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Crossfaith.

Game soundtracks are a very important element of a quality game for me. I love the Shoji Meguro's works and dream of watching the Velvet Room concert at least once in my life.

I have my own Youtube channel here, but it's not active at the moment. I am also part of the Midnight Channel, and we do covers of popular video game themes.

 have been cosplaying intermittently for a few years now. My favorite costumes would have to be Hilda from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Ryuko from Kill la Kill, and Princess Peach from.. I don't really need to tell you that, do I? I wish to get back to cosplaying soon.

I own a Playstation 4. I once owned a Nintendo 3DS but it's now gone. :( I'm planning to get an Xbox One S and a Wii U in the future, if budget permits.
